ABOUT US
Capital Region Writers is a diverse community of writers based in Ottawa, Canada that welcomes members of all experience levels, writing in any genre, age-range, or language. We host monthly events throughout the year, with three "marathon months" in April, July, and November.

EVENTS
Join us once a month for both an in-person and virtual "write-in": dedicated work time where you can thrive in the camaraderie of working alongside fellow writers. Bring an ongoing writing project or start a new one, sit down, and put words on the page!

Our in-person events take place at Ottawa library locations, coffee shops, or other public venues in the city. Our virtual events take place on our Discord.
APRIL, JULY & NOVEMBER
We hold "marathon months" in April, July, and November! With November being our biggest month of the year.
During these months we pack even more in-person and virtual events into our calendar. In addition to writing-focused events, we also host a variety of social gatherings and online activities.
COORDINATORS
The coordinators behind Capital Region Writers are Helena, Kait, and Kim. They plan the events, organize online activities, and corral the chaos. You can find them at in-person events or in the chat during virtual write-ins.
